PNRI is a central hub for clinical and translational neuroscience research and is structured in two ways. First, we are a think-tank for novel neuroscience ideas to translate to practical products and services, or to spur industry with new targets for therapeutics. We are constantly conducting internal studies to explore new technologies and their application, for example, to neurodegenerative disease biomarker discovery. We would like to partner with others in industry that have similar goals and interests.
Secondly, we are geared to perform neurological clinical trials as a site serving the greater San Diego region and beyond. We have a unique approach to trials in that since we see plethora of patient types, we have pre-populated our site with suitable candidates for recruitment. We are interested in dementia and neurodegeneration trials, but will consider all other study types at the director’s discretion and upon discussion.
For dementia trials, we are fully equipped with a collaborating regional memory center on site, fully trained staff not only in clinical trials, but also standard dementia trial instruments (ADAS-Cog, CDR, MMSE, MOCA, ADCS-ADL, NPI, C-SSRS etc.). We have a wide referral base from our regional community partners for recruitment for such trials. Please consider contacting us through our inquiry form here for any neurological clinical trials that you may have.
