Clinical Research at PCND and CMA:
pnri     THE PCND NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH INSTITUTE

To bring patients and their families the most up-to-date and innovative clinical research for neurological disorders, the founders of PCND and the CMA have established the PCND Neuroscience Research Institute (PNRI).  The Institute seeks to promote innovative high-impact clinical and translational neuroscience research locally in the Palomar-Pomerado Health District by conducting major pharmaceutical industry clinical drug trials, investigator-initiated trials based on the staff members' research interests, and also imaginative collaborative studies with local universities in San Diego and other research centers.

We are a proud partner and affiliate of the Research Institute at Palomar-Pomerado Health.

PNRI focuses on investigations in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other neurodegenerative conditions.  Please see our list of studies and clinical trials currently seeking new patients at the bottom of the page.

For Pharmaceutical Industry and Neuroscience Researchers:

PNRI does not act as a CRO or SMO.  As a private independent clinical research site linked to a thriving general neurologic and memory treatment clinic, we draw upon our unusually large local geriatric community in Rancho Bernardo, CA to successfully recruit and conduct studies in aging-related neurologic disorders.  If your company is seeking a new research site with experienced neurologists, neuropsychologists and other clinical researchers, we would like to partner with you as a site to conduct your neuroscience trial.  Also, we are seeking to collaborate with academic investigators to conduct original translational and clinical research with new drug targets and novel therapies.  Given our academic backgrounds, we have broad neuroscience interests ranging from (but not limited to) therapies and techniques to modulate synaptic function and neuroplasticity,  neuroimaging and other markers of neurodegenerative diseases to neuropsychological and other studies of AD, dementia and cognitive health.
